Founder's Story

Dear Travelers,

Growing up in Flores, I have always felt an deep connection to these mountains, volcanic lakes, and traditional villages. Flores, Sumba, and Komodo are not just tourist destinations to me; they are my home. For years, I watched the tourism industry grow, but I noticed that many travelers were rushed along standard itineraries, rarely getting the chance to truly meet local families, learn about ikat weaving from the artisans themselves, or feel the quiet, slow rhythm of island life.

That is why I founded NW Floresia Travel (PT. Nusa Wisata Floresia Tours & Travel Service) in Maumere in 2023. I wanted to build a company that operates differently—one focused on private, custom-tailored journeys that move at your pace, allowing you to discover the beauty of our islands with heart.

As a local Flores Tour Operator, my mission is twofold. First, to design travels that respect and directly support local communities. Every driver, local guide, homestay host, and boat captain we hire is a member of our island family, receiving fair compensation. Second, to provide absolute transparency. When you book a Flores Tour Package, a Kelimutu Tour, or a liveaboard phinisi trip in Komodo with us, you know exactly what is included, with no hidden fees or compromises.

Whether you are hiking the volcanic slopes of Ende, cruising with manta rays, or entering a traditional high-roof village in West Sumba, we want your journey to be personal, comfortable, and meaningful.
